The Google Pixel 3 was a smartphone developed and manufactured by Google, succeeding the Pixel 2 series. It was announced on October 9, 2018, and continued Google’s emphasis on camera quality, software optimization, and AI integration. The Pixel 3 was available in two sizes: the standard Pixel 3 and the larger Pixel 3 XL. Here are the key features and specifications of the Google Pixel 3:
- Display:
- Pixel 3 XL: 6.3-inch OLED display with Quad HD+ (2960 x 1440) resolution and a notch at the top.
- Processor: Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, offering improved performance and efficiency over its predecessor.
- RAM: Both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL had 4 GB of RAM, which was standard for flagship devices at the time.
- Storage: Available in two storage options: 64 GB and 128 GB. As with previous Pixel phones, there was no option to expand storage using a microSD card.
- Camera:
- Rear Camera: A single 12.2-megapixel camera on the back, continuing Google’s focus on computational photography for excellent image quality and features like Night Sight for low-light photography.

- Water Resistance: The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL had an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, allowing them to withstand immersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes.
